HOOPLA! Summer Basketball League
Now Open for Registration!
HOOPLA! Summer Basketball Junior Pro League is a brand new league to help develop basketball skills in a team setting for kids ages 6 to 16. Each player will be placed on a team during "Team Draft Night" and will receive equal amounts of playing time. General league details are as follows:

- $50 per player (non-refundable)
- Cost is due in full at registration
- Jersey included
Team Draft Nights and Team Clinic:
Attendance is mandatory.
- June 17, 2010 at 6:00 pm and June 19, 2010 at 2:00 pm
- Parents and/or guardians must be present.
- Rules and bylaws will be discussed at this time.
- League schedules will be available on June 24, 2010 online or at Mount Zion.
League Schedule/Information and Team Rosters Link:
- League Dates: June 29, 2010 through August 7, 2010
- 8 games and a single elimination tournament
- League play begins on July 6
- Team scrimmage on June 29
- Games are played on Tuesdays and Saturdays
- A tournament will be held on August 6 and August 7
Age Groups and Rosters:
- Ages 6 to 7
- Ages 8 to 10
- Ages 11 to 12
- Ages 13 to 14
- Ages 15 to 16
Game Rules:
- Junior Pro league jerseys are provided.
- Season consists of 8 games and a single elimination tournament
- League follows NFHS rules with certain HOOPLA! modifications
- Rosters are limited to a maximum of 10 players per team
- Teams play 5 vs. 5
- Games consist of two (2) 15–minutes halves with running clock; clock stops the last two (2) minutes of each half.
- Five (5) fouls to disqualify
- Referee provided for all games
Conduct Rules:
Players, parents, and staff must obey all rules of conduct in order to participate in the league. Conduct and activities listed below are unacceptable.
- inappropriate language and/or gestures
- use of profanity
- verbal abuse
- taunting
- threats of violence
- fighting
- vandalism
Spectators or parents who violate the HOOPLA! rules of conduct will be asked to leave the gym and may not return for the remainder of the season.
Players who violate the HOOPLA! rules of conduct may be subject to a one–game suspension or expulsion from the league.
All decisions made by the league director are final.

Inclement Weather Policy:
- Regular season games will not be rescheduled if cancelled due to inclement weather conditions.
